TALLAHASSEE -- The Florida Democratic Party is making a number of big staff changes, it announced today.
* Joshua Karp will be the new communications director, replacing Brannon Jordan. Karp worked as communications director at the Virginia Senate Democratic Caucus and also as the communications director for U.S. Rep. Lois Frankel's 2012 campaign for Congress.
* Casey Nesselhauf is the new research director. Nesselhauf spent four years as a researcher for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and previously worked for Democratic consulting firm Hamilton Campaigns.
* Max Steele is the new press secretary. In 2012, he served as a researcher and tracker and he joined the Florida Democratic Party in early 2013.
"As we build on the victories of the last election, Joshua, Casey, and Max will be valuable assets to the Florida Democratic Party," said Party Chairwoman Allison Tant. "Their combination of Florida experience, relationships, and political savvy will make our party even stronger, and ensure we are holding Rick Scott and the Florida GOP accountable."
