Three stores on a single half-mile stretch of the Magnificent Mile was too much even for cosmetics giant Sephora.
Sephora is closing its store at The Shops at North Bridge at 520 N. Michigan Ave. on Jan. 15 and directing customers to its new flagship, which opened in August at 605 N. Michigan.
Sephora, owned by luxury goods group LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, also has a store at Water Tower Place.
When the beauty retailer opened the new flagship last summer, it said it planned to keep both mall shops open.
