    Shop and raise funds at 'Christkindlmarkt'
    On Dec. 6, the Seagull Society of the Friends of Birch State Park Inc. will launch the inaugural “Christkindlmarkt” event. Inspired by a holiday craft event in Nuremberg, Germany, which began in 1545, the fundraiser will take place in the Garden Center at the park located on the corner of E. Sunrise Boulevard and A1A. The event will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. and feature cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, live entertainment and a “Winter Wonderland” Clay Couture fashion show by artist Steven Sylvester.
