iPads arrive for Union Ridge School students

Kids at Union Ridge School are getting a new tool this year: More than 200 iPad Air 2 tablets have arrived, allowing approximately one third of Union Ridge School's 663 students to tap into new technology in class. The iPads were funded by a $126,000 grant from Norwood Park Township to the school at 4600 N. Oak Park Ave. The money was received in March. The iPads were purchased from Apple in 10-pack bundles, resulting in an approximate discount of $20 off each device, said Marek Trela, technology coordinator.
