Leader of Polsky Center, University of Chicago's innovation hub, to step down

The leader of the University of Chicago’s hub for innovation and entrepreneurship is stepping down and heading back to the private sector.

John Flavin, head of the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, is set to become chief financial officer of Lisle-based medical technology company Endotronix by the end of the month.

Flavin came to the University of Chicago in 2013 and led the Polsky Center through an expansion that began almost two years ago.
