Life is but a dream, or so we're often told. Dress like it then this spring in togs spun off a sleepwear theme.
The look is relaxed, in the extreme. Just how extreme you want to go depends on your fashion brio.
Dries Van Noten's green-and-black plaid shirt and matching trousers under a topcoat practically screams of a boozy morning after — or a nocturnal bender that never ended. Wear it wisely; you'll either earn knowing applause or plenty of anxious looks.
Other equally bed-friendly but less overt looks could work at the beach or back deck, especially Hermes' relaxed baseball shirt and cropped trousers or Yohji Yamamoto's wide-legged cropped pants and soft, robelike jacket over a striped tee that looks so jauntily, nautically French you can imagine yourself daydreaming over a cafe noisette outside a cafe in Antibes.
