WILLIMANTIC- Quilt artist Kate Themel will present her unique quilting style at the Windham Textile and History Museum in a talk/demonstration, "Building A Picture," on Aug. 16 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Admission is $10 per person.
Themel will demonstrate a raw edge layering technique using freezer paper to trace, cut and layer pieces of fabric into a fiber art composition. Her art quilt, "Honey Bee," is featured in the museum's current exhibition:"Inspiration Quilts: Then and Now," which runs through Sept. 7.
