The Heartbreaking Reality Of Homelessness On Display At Charter Oak

A new art installation by Elena Kalman and Susan Hoffman Fishman, "Open House: Hartford," is on exhibit now at Charter Oak Cultural Center in Hartford. The homelessness-themed piece was first seen last month at Stamford Government Center, in the form of a fully constructed house made from pieces of cardboard. In Hartford, the fully constructed house has been blown apart, and hangs in pieces from the ceiling of the Charter Oak gallery, held together by red and black parachute cords.
