Harry Reid, a Democrat, is the majority leader in the United States Senate. He was born in the mining town of Searchlight, Nevada, and in 1970, at the age of 30, Harry Reid became the youngest lieutenant governor in Nevada history. Harry Reid won the first of two terms in the United States House of Representatives in 1982. Nevadans elected Harry Reid to the Senate in 1986, and he won re-election in 1992, 1998 and 2004.
