HARTFORD — The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation will present Gov. Dannel P. Malloy with the 2016 Profile in Courage award for his decision to welcome refugees from Syria to Connecticut.
Jack Schlossberg, President Kennedy's grandson, praised Malloy on Monday for taking a "stand against the hateful, xenophobic rhetoric."
"In doing so, he put principles above politics and upheld my grandfather's vision of America," said Schlossberg, whose mother is Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg. She is the ambassador to Japan.
