NEW HAVEN —Over the past 62 years, Connecticut's professional golf tournament has generated in excess of $32 million for charities. Last year, the Travelers Championship raised $1.6 million for 140 charities. The tournament has been cited by the PGA for its charitable endeavors and has proved to be a model for other events.
