White House Highlights Sikorsky During 'Made In America' Event

The White House picked Sikorsky Aircraft, the Stratford-based helicopter maker, to highlight Connecticut at its "Made in America" showcase in Washington on Monday.

Sikorsky, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin, has been manufacturing helicopters for U.S. presidents since the Eisenhower administration. Three years ago the company won a $1.24 billion contract with the Navy to build six next-generation helicopters to upgrade the Marine One fleet.
