Hundreds March In Hartford For Programs To Help Convicts Transition From Prison

A 5-year-old girl used both hands to hold a Black Lives Matter poster over her head Wednesday afternoon as she stomped to the beat of about 200 marchers' chants.

The girl walked in the middle of the pack walking from the Legislative Office Building to Capital Community College to fight for justice for inmates and formerly incarcerated people. Her grandmother, Hartford Councilwoman rJo Winch, led the way alongside leaders who traveled from as far as New Haven and New York City.
