Illinois companies see possibilities in Safe Roads Amendment, Trump infrastructure plans

President-elect Donald Trump's pledge to rebuild the country's multitude of highways, roads, bridges and dams is resonating with major Illinois business interests, which are mapping out their own infrastructure dreams.

Trump's vow to invest $1 trillion over 10 years is placing infrastructure improvements on the front burner of national priorities. Any infrastructure rehab would have to include Illinois, a transportation hub.
