Fasano, Witkos Re-Elected as Republican Leaders

Senate Republican leader Len Fasano and his deputy, Sen. Kevin Witkos, have been unanimously re-elected to their leadership posts.

Fasano, of North Haven, has served as the Senate GOP leader since the departure of John McKinney, who ran in a primary for governor in 2014 against Greenwich executive Tom Foley.

“Having gained three new seats, tying the senate 18-18 between Democrats and Republicans, we are entering into a whole new world in state government,'' Fasano said. "Both parties are now equals in the state Senate.''
