Federal Bill Passes House With $1 Billion To Fight Opioid Addiction

A sweeping piece of federal legislation that provides $1 billion over the next two years to combat the deadly opioid crisis passed Wednesday in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The bill passed 392 to 26.

"Since I first introduced a bill calling for emergency funding to address the opioid epidemic in February, support for federal action has been steadily increasing on both sides of the aisle.
