Malloy Continues Budget Push As Legislators Work On Their Own Plan

Despite widespread complaints by mayors and first selectmen for the past six weeks, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy said Tuesday that he is pushing ahead with his plan to redistribute money to help communities with the greatest needs.

Malloy said he has received feedback from municipal leaders on his proposed changes in the state's educational cost-sharing formula that would prompt cuts in aid for 131 communities.
