The Community Free Clinic offers free, temporary, health care services to Emmet County residents who are low-income, without health insurance and are not included in a government health program. The clinic is staffed by volunteers. There is an appointment clinic on Monday afternoons for those who work on Wednesday evenings. For all other patients there is a walk-in clinic on Wednesday evenings with sign-in from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Patients are seen in order of sign-in which means there may be a wait. The Women's Resource Center of Northern Michigan offers educational support group meetings for past or present victims of domestic abuse.
