Police release name of suspected Bay View burglar

The sheriff's office has received a five-count felony warrant issued by the Emmet County Prosecutor's Office for Phillip John LaDere, according to a sheriff's office news release issued today, Wednesday. LaDere is charged with three counts of second-degree home invasion, a 15-year felony; one count of possession of burglar's tools, a 10-year felony; and one count of attempted second-degree home invasion, a five-year felony, according to the release.
LaDere was arrested in mid-January and is being lodged at the Emmet County Jail. His bond was set at $25,000, according to the release.
Additional related charges are pending as a result of an investigation conducted by the Michigan State Police, the release states.
