Norman E. Probert, 75, of Charlevoix, died March 1, 2013, while camping in Louisiana.
The husband of Judy Harrell-Probert, they were married for 56 years. Together they had two children, Terri (Michael) Hodge of Petoskey, and Gary N. (Barbara) Probert of Orlando, Fla.; four grandchildren, Tricia Howard of Charlevoix, Jerred Hodge of Petoskey, Heather Probert of St. Cloud, Fla., and Brett Probert of Orlando, Fla.; one great-grandchild, Grayson Howard, of Charlevoix; two brothers, Albert and Milton Probert.
He was involved in the Michigan Wrestling Coaches Association and helped to establish the Wrestling Association Hall of Fame in Michigan.
Norm loved traveling, camping and being the "Park Jester" where ever he was.

A memorial service is planned for Sunday, May 19, at the Charlevoix Public Library, 200 Clinton St., Charlevoix. A light lunch will be served at 1 p.m. and the memorial service will follow at 2:30 p.m. If anyone is unable to attend the service, please have a toast to "Norm" and remember the good times and smiles he may have brought to you.
