HARBOR SPRINGS — A weekend accident sent four local men to the hospital, two of whom remain hospitalized.
According to Emmet County Sheriff, Pete Wallin, the accident happened at approximately 4 a.m. Sunday on Middle Village Road, near State Road, north of Harbor Springs.
Wallin said a 2004 Chevrolet pick-up truck, driven by Zachary Lauer, 19, of Alanson, was headed east on Middle Village Road when Lauer said he hit a deer and began to lose control. The truck hit some trees and rolled over.
Other passengers in the vehicle included Zane Cone, 19, of Alanson, Justin Archey, 20, of Alanson and Gabriel Schwartz, 19, from Conway.
Lauer and Schwartz were treated and released from McLaren — Northern Michigan. Archey remains in serious condition while Cone is listed in fair condition.
