The Wawatam Area Senior Center hours for congregate meals are 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; 1 p.m. Sunday. The center is open every day at noon for recreation, Wii, card games and use of computers (Internet service). The center is located on Cedar Street in Mackinaw City.

Cross of Christ Lutheran and Emmanuel Episcopal churches provide a free lunch from noon-1 p.m. every Thursday for those in need at the First Presbyterian Church in Petoskey. All are welcome.
Having surgery can be frightening for a child. McLaren Northern Michigan hospital is easing those fears by offering tours of the ambulatory surgery area for children facing surgery and their family members. Tours are conducted from 4-4:30 p.m. every Tuesday. Enter the main lobby of the hospital and ask for directions to the surgical waiting room. Families interested in touring the facility are asked to call (231) 487-4103 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to schedule an appointment.
Playgroups, offered free through the Womens Resource Center of Northern Michigan, are for children 0-60 months and preschool-aged siblings. The Harbor Springs Community Food Pantry, located in the lower level of the Holy Childhood Community Center building (entrance on Third Street), is open from 9:30 a.m.-noon every non-holiday Monday. Food is available for anyone in need in the Harbor Springs area.
