The Ladies Auxiliary of Eagles 1583 in Boyne City approved a budget that will increase the annual dues for benefit and non benefit members as proposed at its last meeting on April 8. This change, if approved by the Grand Aerie will increase dues. Benefit members dues will increase from $26 to $32 and non benefit members will be increase from $25 to $31. This necessary change is due to the increase in the per capita taxes that we pay to the Grand Aerie bi-annually. The first reading of this proposed by-law change will occur at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 22, at the Boyne City Eagles Club. The nominations for officers will be held at this very important meeting. The Northern Michigan Chapter of the Embroiderers Guild of America meets at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, in the Transfiguration Episcopal Church in Indian River, located on M-68. The project will be UFOs and bookmarks. Remember to bring any finished guild projects for golden needle. Complete any stitched project and bring it for Show & Tell and you will be entered in a draw that takes place in December. Refreshments will be served. Guests and new members are welcome.
