ALANSON — The Alanson Church of the Nazarene opens its food pantry/soup kitchen and clothing bank for those in need from 4-5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. Bible study groups for all ages meets at 6:30 p.m., and a small group meets 5:30 p.m. Thursdays. Sunday school classes begin at 9:45 a.m. for all ages, with Sunday worship at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Brantley giving the message.

Services begin at 9 a.m. with children’s Sunday school taking place during the worship hour. The chancel choir will be singing “Here, O My Lord, I See Thee Face to Face” under the directorship of Marion Kuebler accompanying on organ and piano. One Great Hour of Sharing offering will be taken for administrative costs of the United Methodist Committee on Relief. Each Wednesday evening during Lent, the church is hosting a free soup supper and missions program at 6 p.m. in the church fellowship area.
