“We found it here in Northern Michigan,” said Justin, owner of Petoskey’s new Fountain of Life Chiropractic. “It has the perfect balance of seasons, water, and community.”
More than 20 chiropractic practices are located in the immediate area. This was not of concern to the Fountains when they opened their practice in May at 267 Creekside Drive, Suite 100. The office is located off Mitchell Road near the American Red Cross building.
“The people here are very health conscious here, with the mix of summer and local people and their emphasis on exercise and outside activities,” Justin Fountain said. “They value things like chiropractic care, acupuncture, organic foods and healthy eating.”
The chiropractor plans to build a client base through local business organizations such as the chamber of commerce, educational lectures, fliers, signs, advertising and personal relations throughout the community and the Fountains’ church.
“Everyone needs to have spinal adjustments and through conferences and talks I hope to educate people on how the spinal relates to overall health,” Justin Fountain continued.
Fountain obtained a bachelor’s degree in biology and a doctorate in chiropractic medicine from Life University in Marietta, Ga. He opened his first practice in Cedarville where he met his wife, Cheyenne. They now have a baby daughter, Lakelyn, who was born in Petoskey.
Fountain explained that chiropractic techniques reconnect the communication between the body and the brain, allowing for messages sent over the nervous system to transfer without interference and allow the body to fully express its God-given potential.
“This is a beautiful place for us to raise our family — a safe community with lots of outdoor activities,” he added.
Fountain of Life Chiropractic is open 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday and 9 a.m.-noon Saturday. For more information, call (231) 347-1776.
