2012 Acura TL

By Paula MacPherson

Much of what I thought after driving the Acura TL involved the word “very.” The car was very smooth, very quick and very comfortable.
But the TL also had heater, air conditioning, audio, navigation and communications controls that were very distracting. The center portion of the instrument panel features lots of small buttons and knobs in untraditional places. This is one car that you'll want to set up before leaving your driveway.
Among the options is an “advance package” that combines a very useful blind-spot warning system with heated and ventilated front seats. The navigation system does not use a touch screen; you turn the large central knob to select one letter at a time. Voice control is an option.
One more “very” comes to mind: This car feels very solid.
