Far from home while deployed in the army in Afghanistan, Wesley McCracken was nevertheless able to prepare for his return home while still abroad.
In need of transportation, he browsed the Internet looking for a car. He found a 2006 Pontiac GTO at Parsons Buick in Plainville that caught his eye.McCracken e-mailed the Internet sales department at Parsons and was able to setup an appointment to drive to the dealership once he returned home to New Jersey.
After a test drive this month, he decided to buy the GTO and will head off to his new assignment at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.(In the photo above is Wesley McCracken (center) with his wife's brother and Parsons Buick salesman Bob Flaherty.)
