While electric and battery operated cars are helping the environment while saving their owners some cash at the pump, there's something to be said for pure power.
This article from USA Today highlights the 2013 Shelby GT500 Mustang, which packed a 650 horsepower V-8, a full 100 hp more than the one it replaces, according to the article.
Not suprisingly, the new Mustang has speed to burn, as Ford says it has the potential to reach 200 mph.
As for gas? Ford was a bit coy in their comments to USA Today, simply saying that the EPA estimates will be good enough to avoid the government "gas guzzler tax."
