It was not the prettiest of games, but on a night in which UCF shot just 42.3 percent from the field the Knights were able to come away with a 64-48 win.
That was partly in thanks to UAB's off-night shooting. The Blazers were 0-for-23 from three-point range, the first UCF opponent since 2005 not to have a three-pointer in a game. They hit just 26 percent (20 of 77) from the field.
Listen to what Keith Clanton and Calvin Newell had to say about the win.
Clanton also touched on reaching an individual highlight, as he hit the 1,500 career-point mark in the win, just the fourth player in UCF history to do so.
