Orlando singer Sisaundra Lewis electrified Monday's edition of "The Voice."
Did you have any doubt she would advance to next week?
Put that doubt aside. Lewis is one of the Top 8 on the NBC singing contest.
"Sisaundra Lewis lives to sing another day," host Carson Daly said in making the announcement early in Tuesday's show.
She reacted with joy and hugged mentor Blake Shelton.
Lewis, the mother of three, won terrific reviews for her rousing version of Steve Perry's "Oh Sherrie." She closed Monday's show, always a good sign that producers like a singer's style.
This season's winner will be named May 20.
Daly announced that Gwen Stefani of No Doubt will be a coach on the upcoming seventh season of "The Voice." She joins Shelton, Adam Levine and newcomer Pharrell, whose "Happy" has overjoyed listeners everywhere.
Both new coaches will perform on Monday's telecast of "The Voice." Pharrell will deliver "Come Get It Bae," and Stefani sings "Hollaback Girl."
Christina Aguilera will be back for season eight of "The Voice," NBC said.
