"American Idol" presents the five finalists in performance at 8 p.m. on Fox. Big-voiced Candice Glover and Kree Harrison have an edge over Janelle Arthur, Amber Holcomb and Angie Miller. It's the first time in "Idol" history that the last five are all women. The season finale is just a month away. Each contestant performs two songs Wednesday; one salutes a diva and another is from the year the hopeful was born.
ABC's "Suburgatory" won't have an easy time against those reality series. The sitcom offers two episodes at 8, and the latter is the season finale. It could be the series finale, too, because the ratings have been week.
Many series are in reruns tonight, including "Arrow," "Modern Family," "Criminal Minds," "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," "Nashville" and "Chicago Fire." CBS has shifted "Elementary" to 10 p.m. Wednesday from 10 p.m. Thursday. The Sherlock Holmes drama is a repeat, too.
With the broadcast dramas in repeats at 10, you might try a new episode of "The Americans" at 10 on FX. Keri Russell shines as a KGB agent in this espionage thriller set in Washington in the 1980s.
In late night, Jon Stewart will welcome Ricky Gervais on "The Daily Show" at 11 p.m. on Comedy Central. Stephen Colbert interviews Alan Cumming ("The Good Wife") on "The Colbert Report" at 11:30 p.m. on Comedy Central. Harrison Ford promotes "42" in a visit to Jimmy Kimmel at 11:35 p.m. on ABC.
