Video showing a SunRail train using its emergency brakes last week to avoid striking a vehicle on the tracks in Orlando has been released.

The "near miss" happened near Highland Avenue and North Orange Avenue at 7:45 a.m. Thursday, Florida Department of Transportation spokesman Steve Olson said.

A white Lexus was stopped near the edge of the railroad track and the southbound train missed the car by about six inches, Olson said.

No one was hurt.

The incident was reported to Orlando police but the driver left the scene before police arrived.

The video is being downloaded and will be posted online as soon as possible.
