Coast to Coast bike-trail backers unfazed as Scott vetoes $50M
The proposed 275-mile Coast to Coast Connector trail, already existing as other trails save for 72 miles of gaps, will proceed despite Gov. Rick Scott's recent veto of $50 million to buy land and pave the gaps. State Sen. Andy Gardiner, R-Orlando, an avid cyclist, plans to push to add money to the Florida Department of Transportation budget every year until the trail links are complete.
