Both Dr. P Phillips Hospital and Orlando Regional are part of Orlando Health, a health system that includes seven hospitals. In his new role, Jones will also be senior vice president of Orlando Health.
Jones has served in a variety of executive roles since he joined Orlando Health in 1986, including vice president of operations and chief operating officer for ORMC. He has been president of Dr. P. Phillips Hospital since 2008.
“Mark’s demonstrated leadership skills and abilities will continue to be tremendous assets as we proceed on our strategic journey to create a more efficient business model and to improve the quality of care we provide to patients,” said Sherrie Sitarik, president and CEO, Orlando Health.
With Jones’ move to ORMC, Karen Frenier, president of Orlando Health’s South Seminole Hospital, will expand her responsibilities to include Dr. P. Phillips Hospital in addition to South Seminole Hospital.
