NPR needs a voice.

More specifically, National Public Radio needs its voice.

The public broadcasting network known for "All Things Considered" and "Morning Edition" is seeking someone to be the "voice of NPR." Duties include, but are not limited to, providing voice talent for all of NPR's announcements and funding credits.

"Heard by millions of people each week, you’ll get to say, 'This is NPR' each day," according to the ad for the job posted earlier this month.

All of this led me to wonder if we needed someone to be the "voice of the Orlando Sentinel".

I held auditions in Winter Garden where I had more than half a dozen candidates say, "This is the Orlando Sentinel."
