UPDATED: It looks as if TV has found the next horror hit to follow "True Blood" and "The Walking Dead."

FX's hugely entertaining "The Strain" broke through Sunday night and ranked first with young adults in Central Florida. If you haven't been following this vampires-loose-in-New-York drama, you're missing an imaginative and terrifying horror story. These aren't the glamorous vampires of "True Blood." (In total viewers, "The Strain" ranked No. 12 for the night.)

Other favorites of local young adults Sunday were TNT's "The Last Ship," Bravo's "Real Housewives of New Jersey," HBO's "True Blood" and the Fox broadcast of the Chiefs-Panthers game. "True Blood" ends it run this Sunday, the same night "The Last Ship" completes its first season.

In total viewers, CBS' "60 Minutes" was tops with 126,201 viewers. CBS' "Big Brother" ranked second with 107,094. Rounding out the top five were the Chiefs-Panthers game (86,189), "The Last Ship" (78,434) and ABC's "Castle" (73,185).

In national broadcast ratings, updated numbers showed CBS' "60 Minutes" drawing 7.9 million and "Big Brother" pulling in 6.8 million, that show's biggest audience this season. On "Big Brother," Donny wowed fans with his winning ways. "Unforgettable" drew 6.3 million while the Kansas City-Caroline game averaged 6.2 million for Fox.

Updated averages for the four broadcast networks: CBS with 6.3 million, Fox with 5.1 million, ABC with 3.8 million and NBC with 3 million. But Fox won the 18-to-49 age group.
