The New England Patriots were on campus for a private workout with former UCF football players Jeff Godfrey, Justin McCray, Jordan McCray, Chris Martin and Storm Johnson on Tuesday.

Johnson, who is still recovering from a hamstring strain suffered during UCF’s Pro Day, took part in film sessions.

The players attended the early portion of the Knights’ morning spring practice before heading to the team facility to meet with coaches from the Patriots. New England head coach Bill Belichick was in Orlando for the NFL Owner’s Meetings about a half hour away from campus.

Godfrey said he has spoken with several teams since standing out during his Pro Day workout last week. The 5-11, 190-pound receiver took advantage of his spotlight when catching passes from UCF quarterback Blake Bortles at the highly-attended workout.

Godfrey was clocked between 4.45 and 4.54 in his two 40-yard dash attempts with a 36-inch vertical. The McCrays ran 5.3 and put up 33 bench-press repetitions, while Martin impressed with a 5.13 40-yard dash and 33 reps.

The group – Godfrey, Martin, Johnson and the McCrays – is also expected to take part in a workout with the Miami Dolphins on April 11.
