Two Chinese monks will discuss the links between Buddhism and science at 7 p.m. tonight, Sept. 3, at the University Unitarian Universalist Society, 11648 McCullock Road, Orlando.
Buddhist monks Xian Qi and Xianwei will answer questions about how their religion intersects science. Xian Qi has a Phd in nuclear physics. Xianwei was a graduate student in biophysics before becoming a monk.
The two monks are in the United States for a meeting on science and religion. They were invited to speak to the University Society by UCF physics professor and society member Weili Luo.
The talk is open to the public. Admission is free but a donation of $3 to $5 is suggested.
