Orlango Magic General Manager Rob Hennigan on upcoming season.

The NBA has interest in keeping Orlando on a "short rotation" of cities who will host the league's annual All-Star Game, according to Magic CEO Alex Martins.

Martins also said the Magic and the city of Orlando will apply to host the 2017 game.

Orlando applied to host the 2016 Game, but it was awarded to the city of Toronto.

Orlando played host to the 2012 All-Star Game at Amway Center. Dwight Howard represented the Magic as the game's leading vote-getter with about 1.6 million votes.

Martins said the arena, mild winter weather, the area's attractions and, most importantly, an abundant number of hotel rooms, makes Orlando a logical candidate to be the host on a regular basis.
