Former Jones girls basketball standout Shavonte Zellous made a last-second, 13-foot  jump shot to lift the Indiana Fever to a 78-76 win over the Connecticut Sun on Monday in Game 2 of the WNBA Eastern Conference Finals.

The decisive third game will be played in Connecticut on Thursday night at 8:30 (ESPN2). The winner advances to the championship series against Western Conference champion Minnesota.

Zellous, a 5-foot-10 guard, was MVP of the final four as Jones won a 2003-04 state championship then starred collegiately at Pittsburgh, where she set a single-season record for points (747) as a senior. Her career points total of 2,251 ranks third all time for the Panthers.

She is a fourth-year pro who averaged 7.5 points in the regular season while starting every game for Indiana.
