Lake Highland Prep faceoff specialist Max Parker committed to Syracuse lacrosse.
LHP coach Chris Spaulding confirmed the news on Saturday morning.
Widely regarded as the top FOGO (faceoff, get off) in the area and arguably the state, Parker won nearly 75 percent of his faceoffs this year, helping the Highlanders win their second state title in three seasons.
The rising senior joins a Syracuse program that fell to Duke in the 2013 national championship. The Orange struggled with faceoffs this season and won just 9 of 30 in the title-game loss to Duke, meaning Parker fills a position of need.
