Organizers of the Larry Gergley Gridiron Bowl have expressed interest in having Boone (5-4) participate in what would then be the Braves final football game under 23-year head coach Phil Ziglar.
The bowl is set for Thursday night, Nov. 15, at Showalter Field in Winter Park.
Ziglar, whose team closes its regular season at playoff-bound Edgewater (3-6) on Friday night, sounds willing.
“Any time you can play more, it’s fun,” he said on Monday.
Winter Park assistant coach Johnny Miller is working this week to finalize a matchup.
