"The Hotwives of Orlando" will be a new series on Hulu this year.

This send-up of the "Real Housewives" franchise did not shoot in Orlando, but refers to the city a lot, a show spokesman said.

Or as a release announcing the show put it: "The inaugural season takes you inside the uber-exclusive and glamorous world of six hot housewives livin' large in Central Florida's sexiest city, Orlando. The show follows a cast of ladies as they fight over pretty much everything except for their love of shoes, plastic surgery, and the pursuit of spending all of their husbands' money."

The seven-episode "Hotwives of Orlando" shot in Los Angeles. The show poster carries the line: "Real glamour. Real drama. Fake boobs."

"When we found out that shows like 'The Real Housewives' and 'Basketball Wives' weren't actually parodies, we figured we needed to get on it ASAP,"  executive producers Jonathan Stern and Paul Scheer said in a statement.

The Hotwives are played by Casey Wilson ("Happy Endings"), Angela Kinsey ("The Office"), Kristen Schaal ("Flight of the Conchords"), Tymberlee Hill ("Drunk History"), Danielle Schneider ("Upright Citizens Brigade") and Andrea Savage ("Step Brothers").

The guest stars include Kate Walsh ("Private Practice"), "Weird Al" Yankovic, Joey McIntyre, Stephen Tobolowsky ("Glee") and Paul Scheer ("The League").

Paramount Digital Entertainment said the series will be exclusive to Hulu and Hulu Plus in 2014. Paramount Digital knows the parody field after enjoying great success with "Burning Love."

The arrival of "Hotwives of Orlando" does present an issue: Is Orlando the sexiest city in Central Florida?
