Hey, summer's here. Look at that. Nature's in full bloom, hangin' outdoors season is at its peak, and the days are long and sunny. If you get tired of looking at all that natural beauty, the Gallery at Firehouse Square opens its latest exhibit of photos on June 27, so you could go look at those instead. Roger Tory Peterson and Me: A Bird Photographer's Inspiration pairs Old Lyme photographer Diana Atwood Johnson's photos with those of Peterson, which have been acquired directly from his estate. Johnson will be at the gallery to meet and greet viewers for receptions on opening night, from 5:30-8 p.m., and for a closing reception on July 27 from 5:30-8 p.m. All original works and select prints will be available for purchase as well.
