The Right To Bear Arms: Artists Respond, Kehler Liddell Gallery's newest exhibition, examines the complex questions hidden in a simple phrase. Works by a wide range of artists working in many media explore the issue from multiple angles. John Harris and Penny Cook showcase the commonplace and the horrific in children's make-believe gun battles. Gar Waterman reconstructs the ray gun, that retro-futuristic icon. Sven Martson documents the security state in his photographs of the East German border guard. The opening reception is Fri., May 10 from 6-9 p.m.
