"Nice standard neighborhood hangout bar. Good drink prices. Really diggin' the interior with the velvet booths. Good crowd, similar to Division Street bars. Surprisingly decent amount of hot chicks." -Int'l Playa

"These guys know how to run a pub. I moved into the neighborhood recently, and this pub is a great addition. There
was a lot of eye candy as well, and the staff is great." -Zach H.
"Had the best time on a Friday night. There are a lot of seats to hang out and more room upstairs. The staff was really nice, and the service was good. Would go back again." -N.
"First impression: Looks cool. But crowd is still your young, scantily clad girls getting eyed by collared-shirt boys, and is no different than any other Lincoln Avenue bar, despite its makeover." -K.
"This is a place to get some drinks and food for a little happy hour or a lazy weekend. The atmosphere is a little dry for dining, but the bar alone is inviting. A perfect selection of drinks with the food's Southern influence comes together quite nicely." -Bourbonite
"I walked up to the line on a busy Friday night with 10 girls celebrating a bachelorette party, and the doorman immediately accommodated us. ... [I]nside, we were greeted by the general manager, who offered us a great table in the middle of the lounge. Very impressed with the hospitality that was shown by the entire staff all around, especially the manager. He brought us a bottle of champagne in honor of our bride to be. My friends and I will definitely be back soon." -Angela
"The clientele on opening night was older, but this Saturday it was younger and better-looking. Nice decor, except the 'fluid bodies' on the TV screens are 1970s-cheesy. The service at J Bar: awesome all around." -M.
"Went there with a group of friends on a Tuesday night; sat in the front area, where there is a couch and some ottomans. They started playing bingo; it was such a blast, and it's free. We had so much fun. Ordered one of their pizzas, which was damn good, especially for $8. We will definitely be back." -Lisa
"The food was good; service was slow; everything was OK until the DJ started. Couldn't hear the ball game over the bad DJ beats (on a Tuesday!). Then the bill came: $4.50 for a domestic bottle? This is the "Ashland," not the "Rush and Division," right?" -Aaron
"I met some friends here the other night and had a great time. The premise is different, but for $5 you get great portions for the money from a varied and complete menu." -Thomas
"OK, so being guys, we like the TVs, except after a while we felt like we were in some kind of kinetic, altered state. Too much eye stimulation. Now for the worst part: By the time we ordered enough food to feel satisfied, we had spent over $30! ... Maybe the owners should Take Five and rethink it, because this ain't going to make it!" -Pete and Sam
"Was here on a non-Cubs night. Surprised to see that they only charge $6 for their martinis; very reasonable for Wrigley. Liked the setup of the place: plenty of seats. Sat at the bar, and it was a typical Wrigley bartender (young, attractive and non-attentive). If they get some better staff here, this place could really do well." -Don
