Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski contributed $300 and his wife, Lisa, gave $305. Bethlehem Mayor John Callahan made two separate donations totaling $605, according to a database compiled by the Sunlight Foundation from Federal Election Commission filings.
Of the $531,788.12 that came from Pennsylvania donors, nearly one-fifth came from a local man, William Argeros of Bethlehem, who gave $100,000. In 2012, Argeros gave $5,000 to the Obama campaign, thousands of dollars to various state Democratic party committees and $250 to Lehigh Valley's GOP Rep. Charlie Dent, according to Opensecrets.org. He donated $1,000 to Obama in 2008.
The next highest Lehigh Valley big spender was Pradeep Ghia, a doctor in Easton, who gave $1,438.80.
Other notable Pennsylvania donors to the inauguration include: Philadelphia Democratic Rep. Chaka Fattah, $1,305; Lancaster County Republican Rep. Joe Pitts, $305; and Montgomery County Democratic Rep. Allyson Schwartz's chief of staff, Rachel Magnuson, $305.
