If you liked it then you shoulda put a - check made payable to the Bob Casey campaign - on it?
The Pennsylvania Democratic U.S. senator, who just won his re-election in 2012, is looking to refill his coffers this summer at a fundraiser held at the sold out Beyonce concert in Washington.
Beyonce, one of President Obama's biggest celebrity supporters, has been in the news lately, creating some controversy for a recent trip to Cuba with husband Jay-Z. Jay-Zrapped that he got clearance from Obama to visit the country, but the White House then denied it had any say, passing the buck to the U.S. Treasury Department, which grants travel licenses.
But foreign affairs aside, loving the pop star is apparently bipartisan. Republican Rep. John Shimkus from Illinois is also holding a fundraiser at the concert, though unlike Casey he's not expected to attend.
Billed on the fundraising invite as the "Beyonce (and Bob) Concert," Casey and donors may be spotted somewhere in the packed Verizon Center on July 29 waving their left hands in the air and declaring themselves single ladies.
