Local Foods, a wholesale distribution business focused on sourcing produce solely from farmers in the Midwest, appeared to be perfectly on trend with the growing farm-to-table movement when it launched in March 2013. But Lutsey, a Wisconsin native with a background in both farming and finance, learned some hard lessons right from the beginning.
