Galaxy's home stadium in Carson now named StubHub Center

The Galaxy's home stadium in Carson, formerly known as Home Depot Center, became StubHub Center on Saturday.

Anschutz Entertainment Group, which built and owns the 125-acre complex on the campus of Cal State Dominguez Hills, had said in March that Home Depot was not extending its naming-rights deal and that a new pact was signed with ticket broker StubHub.

The venue's 27,000-seat stadium is home to both the Galaxy and Chivas USA of Major League Soccer. Chivas USA plays there Saturday night against the Seattle Sounders.

The center also is a frequent training center for the U.S. men's and women's soccer teams, and it has an 8,000-seat tennis stadium and a 2,000-seat track and field facility.
